Daniel, this is the review of the manual I put on Amazon:

This was my first experience of role playing games and I couldn’t have wished for a better introduction. The mechanics are clear and easy to grasp with a focus on storytelling – great for beginners but with more than enough depth that I know seasoned gamers are enjoying it too. The system is open and adaptable to many types of setting and circumstance – I’m playing via ‘play by post’ online.

The beautifully-designed player’s manual, along with the presenter’s version, is crammed with details on the historical period. It’s a real education! There’s also a wealth of characters, spells, creatures and much more from which endless scenarios can be spun.

All in all I have nothing but praise for a system and world which is both stimulating and enjoyable.
